Assessment

The military contractor used Stratusphere UX to create a baseline view of the physical desktop environment and then to calculate the sizing requirements for the resources needed for the target virtual environment and corresponding applications.

Optimization

Stratusphere UX data provided 90% of answers needed for architecting the virtual environment, not only to replace the existing desktops but to grow as the user population and variety of applications grew and evolved. Liquidware and Dizzion designed a hyperconverged infrastructure running Citrix Virtual Application and Desktops with non-persistent virtual workspaces.

Results

Users were initially resistant to the virtual workspaces but now have embraced them enthusiastically. The training center deployed Stratusphere UX to provide ongoing logon monitoring, capacity planning and resource utilization reports.
