Major Investment Firm Uses Stratusphere UX

A major financial services investment firm taps Stratusphere UX to solve issues arising from Windows migration.

Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

The company suffered from slow boot and login times for many of its 20,000 workspaces, following a Win 7 to 10 migration. Their current management software was not able to isolate the causes of the issue. Stratusphere UX found that obsolete printer, registry, and security settings originally created for Windows 7 were retained and deteriorated performance.

Optimization

The firm needed to determine all issues affecting all workspaces, which were a mix of Win 7 machines upgraded to Win 10 and new Win 10 workspaces. By using Stratusphere UX with MS SCCM, they could rapidly diagnose a wide range of issues across the entire environment. New metrics were developed by Liquidware specifically for this task.

Results

Stratusphere UX revealed that about 40% of the firm’s workspaces had old files or other issues that slowed logins. Locations with low bandwidth improved as the solution provided visibility to network connectivity, data usage, and other latencies. The company now uses Stratusphere UX routinely to monitor its environment.
